In 1984 the PC just came out - took them apart and tinkered, installed and maintained mainframe terminals and communications systems, gen 3270 microcode, built Banyan VINES network from first server through about 75 before leaving in 1995 for the consulting side. Wrote book on SCO Unix and Banyan VINES.

The famous Berns Steak House in Tampa, FL. while at college I learned to butcher sides of beef and age steaks, trim whole tenderloins, bone chickens, and cut steaks to order at one of the most famous restaurants anywhere - and this is where I learned about wines also.

In high school - became an aspiring bowler and learned to fix the lane machines to earn bowling money; left for college with a 190+ average and didn't pick up the ball again in 36 years except for a few games...
