Safety Advisor
Current• Provide visual safety leadership to promote a proactive culture of safety across the mine site• Engage stakeholders to proactively manage risk, including the facilitation of risk assessments.• Provide safety advice, solutions, and guidance to operational departments, supporting leaders to build safety capacity and capability through safety mentoring and training to incorporate safe work practices into their department, crews/teams.• Facilitate, lead by example, mentor and participate in FELT Leadership activities and initiatives.• Assist with industry best practice reviews for safety & health management system documentation.• Support line management to conduct effective incident investigations, risk assessments, field leadership and in field SHMS compliance that introduces effective controls with the goal of having nil repeat outcomes. • Ensure and maintain a quality standard of the ICAM investigations, facilitation and reporting process.• Lead and conduct workplace internal workplace inspections, providing feedback on compliance.• Provide support in the facilitation and development of the site safety committee• Drive compliance with personal and company obligations to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulation and other relevant legislation and industry best practices.• Contribute to the Continuous Improvement strategy, seeking ways to improve our systems and process • Monitor the Corporate risk management database (FPE) for quality, effectiveness, integrity, timely action close out and verification.
