Work and Asset ManagementData Team – Undergraduate Intern (April – September 2014)Irish Water is a subsidiary of Bord Gáis aimed at bringing the water and wastewater services of the 34 Local Authorities together under one national service provider to ensure that the water consumption in the country is economically and environmentally sustainable. During my internship, I was responsible for the administration of the information system and managing communication internally and externally between stakeholders. This included a variety of tasks:- System testing: Tested end-to-end processes; created work orders on the system, dispatched work orders using a desktop application and received the work order on a handheld device. - System administrator: Managed technical processes - created profiles for new system users, creation of job description IDs, allocated security group access, cleaned data, monitored issue trackers and the creation of FAQs. - Stakeholder relations: Organised stakeholder meetings - ran a daily call with key stakeholders, including senior management, consultants and local authorities.- Data gathering: Traveled to local authorities to discuss the processes of data gathering in relation to assets, crew ID, inventory, procurement and mapping.- System troubleshooting: Served as first line of contact with system users, provided immediate solutions and advice to system users.

Newly renovated super club worth over €15 Million with a capacity of 5,000.- Led the recruitment and training of sales staff, conducting interviews with 35 candidates to form a team of 12. Ran a weekly workshop to train staff on best selling practices.- Created a four month promotional campaign, including weekly pop-up events and PR acts in busy town centres, and Facebook competitions.- Created a commission-based system to reward high achieving sellers. Oversaw the team’s wages and the distribution of tickets to retail stores.

Eclectic Garden is the largest club in Co. Wicklow with a typical attendance of 700 customers and an entrance fee venue between €3,500 and €7,000 on a weekend night. As marketing manager, I led the overall organization of the events. This involved a wide range of responsibilities, for example: - Management: Led a team of 8 promoters who all participated to plan, create and implement the promotion each weekend.- Booking live acts: Negotiated booking fees with live acts and international DJs. - Social media: Built a following of 5,000 “likes” on the Facebook page, promoted themed events on Facebook attracting confirmed attendance of up to 1,200 users. Hired a videographer and photographer to provide photos and promotional videos for the events.
