Robyn works as one of the social workers within the counselling department at Wynberg Girls' High School, providing support for adolescent females and working with client systems. Working alongside educators, parents, external health care practitioners, the state, and other role players is of utmost importance in this role.

Robyn completed her Masters of Social Science in Clinical Social Work in 2020. Her internship took place at Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital in 2018, where she worked as part of the multidisciplinary team within the Child & Adolescent Unit. Robyn completed her dissertation in 2020, which focused on the stressors and coping mechanisms of parents caring for a child living with autism. This was a necessary topic in a world where autism diagnoses have been on the rise and parents have had to learn how to cope with the unique challenges that this brings.

One of the places that has a great amount of influence in one’s life is their place of work. This is why it is so important to provide employees with the opportunity to become more of the people that they have been created to be: people who are whole, and who are able to find joy and come to a place of flourishing. Robyn's role was to support employees on this journey, so that they could become happier, healthier people, in a way that positively impacted on every area of their lives, as well as on the success of Mukuru.

Robyn's attention to detail and ability to fine-tune copy has led to freelance work for Masters' level dissertations and for various companies. She has also done transcribing and proofreading work.

Robyn worked within the start-up phase of this exciting personal development technology platform. Her involvement within the company included creating EQ content, supporting platform users with the implementation of various personal development techniques, developing operational processes within the company, and copy-editing.

As an administrative assistant, Robyn put her strengths to good use. She worked on various projects, including those centred around marketing, video and copy editing, finance, and packaging. Robyn made sure that every project ran smoothly and that every duck was in a row.

Robyn was tasked with building up a Children's Ministry within the Southern Suburbs. She recruited, led, coordinated, trained and managed a team of >80 volunteers. Robyn developed, implemented and coordinated programmes for over 250 children on a weekly basis, and supported these children and their families. Other responsibilities included creating resources and various administrative processes, planning annual programmes citywide, and working with the church leadership team.

Robyn juggled 3 different roles when Greenpop was in its start-up phase. She got to use her strengths regarding both people and processes. This included managing relationships with beneficiaries, coordinating training events, planning and implementing social media strategies, and coordinating both national and international volunteers.

Robyn was placed at The Homestead Shelter with 6-18 year old adolescent males, and at St Anne's Primary School with learners from Grade R - 7. This involved working with individuals, client systems, groups, and communities as a whole.
