I was a self employed hair stylist for a few months, before i decided to try something new!

I worked in the barbershop on my own 80% of the time. I would open up and close up everyday, i would cash up the till at the end of the day and manage all money paid. I would always ensure and safe, clean and tidy workplace.

I finished my apprenticeship at this salon originally. I then went on to become a stylist with my own column of customers. I worked within my times allocated and met customers expectations. I also answered the phone, made appointments and took payments from customers. Alongside the owner we would come up with ideas for marketing and growing the business.

I started this job fresh out of school. I started my apprenticeship, with lots of training and assessments. I also had the responsibility of ensuring a safe, clean and tidy workplace. I was heavily involved in customer service, greeting customers in reception and taking them to their stylist of choice.
