Provide advocacy and support to abused women and children in the shelter. Including crisis intervention services and community referrals to telephone/ crisis callers, emergency office visitors and in house residents. Responsible for day to day counseling, crisis intervention and individualized safety plans to provide support to women and children surviving abuse/ violence.

Worked with women in conflict with the law, assisting them with their transition back into the community. Followed rules and regulations outlined by corrections to ensure safety to the women, staff, and the community. Assisted women in making community connections to move forward in their lives, ensuring all supports were in place, and they have followed and completed any outlined on their conditions.
