I'm an Expert Generalist, which is to say I know a lot in very many different areas, and I know this stuff because I'm intensely curious and enjoy the process of learning. Knowing things in different areas allows me to see current problems from different perspectives and encourages creative solution. This is what I love best: bringing to bear seemingly disparate pieces of knowledge and seeing them click together to make something new.I once used my knowledge of printers, book creation, computers, and distribution to put together a new department that achieved ROI in a year and saved my company $50K a year after that.I enjoy putting people together with information/products/services that can help them - and being able to keep things moving forward by asking questions that further conversation/negotiation.My blog on social media for small nonprofits was rated in the top 60 blogs on nonprofits. Though I've since moved on to other projects, I still retain a healthy interest in using social media for good.Specialties: Communications and project management, problem solving, research, team building, coaching, mediation. Synthesis of discrete pieces of information to image a whole, which has made me a creative problem-solver. I like to discover what people have in common, which allows me to create productive connections. I'm an excellent communicator and have enjoyed years of success at building cohesive teams whose members support one another to reach goals while (corny as it sounds) pursuing excellence.
