Leonardo.Ai has built one of the world's most widely used generative AI image platforms, and it has recently been acquired by Canva. My role within the research team sits between foundational models and user-facing products, focusing on making our AI models as creatively useful as possible, ultimately bringing new creative possibilities to millions of users both within Leonardo and Canva products.

AI Engineer for the Healthy Country AI project and the Land and Water teams. We developed award winning systems for environmental monitoring leveraging AI, used by indigenous rangers in national parks. Our deployments involved using state of the art systems integrating the Microsoft and Azure toolbox, and deploying AI systems that are culturally responsible.

Student-run data science lab at ITAM that teaches students data skills and works on projects for social good.Each semester, we select a small cross-disciplinary group of students who are taught R, Python and general analytical skills. We then use those skills to work on 3-5 projects that can have a tangible positive impact on society.

Descifra uses location data and machine learning to help companies and governments make better decisions.I conceived the idea and led the engineering/commercial development of the first cloud-based urban intelligence platform in Mexico to deliver demographic, socioeconomic and mobility data on a map along a powerful but easy to read dashboard. The platform introduced a first-of-its-kind predictive feature allowing retailers, our core client base, to make sales predictions anywhere in the country by training a machine learning model that took their locations and sales data to learn what urban environment was most beneficial to the business. This platform was adopted by Fortune 500 companies and I closed several of those deals.
