Rocco DeLorenzo is an accomplished alumnus of Cornell University, holding degrees from theCollege of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Charles H. Dyson School of AppliedEconomics and Management. His academic journey was marked by a dual major in FoodScience, with a business focus, and Applied Economics and Management, specializing instrategy and food industry management.Rocco’s professional interests are deeply rooted in the interplay between business principlesand food science. His drive to merge these disciplines was evident during his leadership roles atCornell, particularly within the Interfraternity Council (IFC), where he served as VP ofMembership and Alumni Development, and later as President over a three-year period. Histenure was transformative, highlighted by initiatives like a comprehensive Hazing PreventionTraining program, the development of a campus-wide Sexual Violence Prevention Plan, and a9-month Formal Recruitment transformation that increased the number of IFC communitymembers by 10%. These efforts not only enhanced safety and community engagement but alsoled to university-wide changes in policy.In addition to his impactful work with the IFC, Rocco was a proactive VP of Finance for theCornell Student Assembly, where he managed the Student Activity Fee setting cycle amidst aninflationary environment, significantly increasing funding for student organizations campus-wideby 34%.Outside of governance, Rocco engaged with industry leaders through the Food MarketingFellows honors program and gained practical experience with notable internships at GiovanniFoods, Mondelēz International, and Restaurant Brands International.Rocco’s contributions to campus life and the broader community have earned him severalawards, including the 2023 Outstanding Peer Governance Award from the North AmericanInterfraternity Conference and 1st Place in the Northeast Greek Leadership Association Orderof Omega Case Competition.Before his time at Cornell, Rocco attended Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, where hewas active in sports, playing soccer and bowling, which he continues to enjoy today.
