My roles as Music Director at DC101 entailed the following:-I curated + hosted a live radio show with 364K+ weekly listener reach (Source:Nielsen Audio Ratings) in a wide range of music genres, including alternativeand rock.-I utilized in-depth research and data analysis to assess audience preferences,track performance metrics in targeted demographics, and adapt playlistsaccordingly to maintain high listener satisfaction and retention.-I developed and implemented music programming strategies that catered to variousdemographics, ensuring a broad and inclusive appeal.-I sourced and evaluated new music releases to achieve consistent top 5 ranking incompetitive market (Washington, D.C.).-I managed an extensive music database, tracked rotations, and did playlist scheduling to maintain aconsistent and engaging listening experience.-I collaborated with colleagues, account executives, clients, and leadership to planand execute promotional events and live broadcasts.-I enhanced the station's audience engagement through securing airplay and exclusive experiences with major artists and breakout talents identified through close ties with record labels."

I prepared and presented content for a highly rated afternoon drive radio show in a competitive, top ten market. My show was high energy, engaging, topical, and relatable. It combined a passion for all things music, local and national news, delivered in a fun and informative way. My connection to the person in their car driving home from work was unparalleled. I truly was "a friend sitting next to them on the way home."Highlights include:-Doo Doo Time Spectacular: a daily music segment featuring an "oh wow" song from the past.-Sebring Sightings: an interactive feature where listeners would call in whenever they spotted a Chrysler Sebring Convertible on the roads. Why? Why not???-Jewish Rock Marathon: an annual tradition of playing exclusively Jewish artists for four hours (curated by me) during Hanukkah. It ran for 15 years and was always a highlight of the holiday season.-Out Of the Darkness Walk: I teamed with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to raise money and awareness in the fight to stop suicide. In 5 years we raised over $500,000 for this worthy cause.

In addition to the on air responsibilities listed below, as an assistant music director, I was placed in charged of database maintenance, gave input in music meetings to determine which songs to add to the station playlist, and provided support to the music director and program director. I also began forming relationships with record labels to facilitate promotions with genre appropriate artists.

In my role as evening personality on DC's Alternative Rock, DC101, I was responsible for planning and executing a nightly high energy, engaging experience for listeners of all ages with a focus on the 18-34 demographic. In addition to hourly interactive music features, I also highlighted callers multiple times an hour. Through these experiences, I became proficient in Adobe Audition, VoxPro, and other editing software. My off air responsibilities included, social media, copy writing, commercial production, promotion planning and execration, and client interaction.
