At Bachcare, we're all about helping people find their happy places, whether they be our guests, or the owners of the properties in our care.In my role as Sales Manager I lead a team of fabulous individuals to streamline processes, upskill where needed, and seek out growth opportunities, with everyone working towards the common goal of growth for the Bachcare portfolio of properties and business as a whole. Our BDMs (New Owner Advisors) are spread throughout NZ, working hard with owners of holiday homes from the Far North to Southland and signing them up to be part of our Bachcare family. In the support office we have a team of Onboarding Specialists who are responsible for getting each property ready and listed on our website; from a H&S check to an enticing description and photos that shout "book me" and everything in between.After a challenging year in 2020 (covid and tourism weren't friends), it was great to see we still managed to achieve growth YOY with our overall property count, with no sign of slowing down yet.

Within my role at BRANDPARTNERS, it was imperative that genuine and solid partnerships were built between myself and my clients. I had a vested interest in the performance of their retail space and brand direction overall, and as a result could work with them to ensure they got the best experience for their customers and were set up to achieve results long term.BRANDPARTNERS partner with customers. The point of difference was that they help their customers connect their brand strategy to their physical environments. By focusing on improving customer experience within retail environments, they strive to positively impact their clients bottom lines; and had a track record of doing just that. This is done in many ways; from the design of a brand asset or retail store, to producing loose furnishings or complete interior fit-outs.

My responsibilities included (but definitely weren't limited to!); business & budget planning, ensuring brand disciplines and compliance were adhered to and ensuring adoption of initiatives and key partnerships from a brand perspective.In my role I provided both our franchisees and company owned stores with continued support to be able to grow and develop their businesses in a sustainable way, while achieving growth in turnover and productivity. This sometimes involved research and planning for new store locations, contract negotiations and agreements, and People Management support, along with implementing revenue generating initiatives and day to day support for the running of a business.

My key positions with Air New Zealand have included Holidays Store Manager and Packages and Outbound Team Leader. Within these roles I have had responsibilities for up to 17 direct reports and direct revenue targets in excess of $11.5M per annum.In my final year with Air New Zealand my team achieved revenue growth of 37%.During my time at Air New Zealand I was also involved in various projects and pilot groups, and instrumental in a project to optimise the sales capabilities of the entire Direct Sales team, which also included a focus on change management. As a result our division reported the biggest positive variance against target when compared with all sales channels within Air New Zealand, including non-direct and Online.
