Rochelle is a seasoned nonprofit leader and social entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience dedicated to positively impacting food security, local agriculture, arts and humanities, wellbeing, and spirituality. As the Founder and Executive Director of Grace Café, she leveraged her expertise in community organizing, strategic communications, and grassroots fund development to transform a grand vision into actionable solutions for a significant problem – food insecurity. Rochelle's career demonstrates her ability to create innovative programs that advance mission objectives, raise awareness, and foster meaningful dialogues about critical topics such as food, farms, poverty, and community. Her passion for exploring the intersection of spirituality and nourishment culminated in her master's thesis, "A Theology of Food: Seeing Food as Acts of Grace," which is the fundamental inspiration behind Grace Café. Rochelle earned her MA from Hartford International University for Religion and Peace in Hartford, CT, where she expanded her knowledge and deepened her understanding of social action, service leadership, and working for a just, peaceful, and more sustainable world. Additionally, she holds a BFA from Lyme Academy of Fine Art in Old Lyme, CT, infusing her work with a unique way of seeing and being present in the world that weaves creative and artistic sensibility into all of her work.
