Peru’s Ministry of Education (MINEDU) has established a Proyecto Especial de Inversión Pública (PEIP) special entity to deliver a major programme of new schools as part of the Bicentenary investment programme. The PEIP-EB will construct, rebuild, and redevelop 75 schools with a value of USD $900m between November 2021 and May 2024. Gleeds del Peru is part of KOULU consortium which is responsible for providing a range of services including PMO, procurement, technical assurance, project management and knowledge transfer to leave a legacy of improved delivery in the country.

The Reconstruction Programme includes the reconstruction of 74 schools and 15 new health centers and 7 major river defense reconstruction. As El Nino is a recurring phenomenon the UK delivery team Technical Advisory leader Arup is a key partner. My role was acting as the focal point for the Lima based team, ramping up the project team during intense COVID restrictions, interface with JV partners (Mace and Gleeds) the Peru Government's ARCC and the Arup London based central support team assisting to the senior Directors and Workstream leads in country.

CCC/Lima is the first regional office covering eleven countries: Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela.- Provided comprehensive support to the CCC Regional Director, including market analysis, competitor research, and proposal development, resulting in successful bid submissions and contract awards. - Conducted market research to inform strategic business decisions regarding infrastructure projects initiated by the Peruvian government under the PMO modality.- Effectively managed the preparation and submission of technical and economic proposals for several high-profile projects, including the construction of venues for the Pan American Games in Lima, Chinchero International Airport, government hospitals and the reconstruction of northern Peru by Canadian companies.- Contributed to the preparation of comprehensive political, social and economic reports on the South American markets by preparing accurate data analysis reports to assist the Regional Director in making decisions regarding potential business opportunities.- Provided personalized support to visiting Ministers and their delegations, anticipating their needs and preferences to enhance their overall experience and effectiveness during diplomatic engagements.

- Acted as the single point of contact for all official and ministerial visits from Canada, working closely with the Embassy's political, trade and consular program managers to ensure that all logistical aspects were meticulously planned and executed. Official visits from Canada have included Governor General, David Johnson and Prime Ministers Stephen Harper and Justin Trudeau to Peru.- Prepared comprehensive meeting materials and presentations for the Ambassador, including briefing documents, speeches, and multimedia presentations, contributing to successful and impactful interactions with senior officials.- Orchestrated the annual Canada Day event, a flagship diplomatic celebration, with meticulous attention to detail and creativity, resulting in memorable experiences for guests and increased awareness of Canadian culture and values.- Worked closely with Canadian and Peruvian protocol offices to ensure seamless alignment with diplomatic protocol and etiquette, enhancing the professionalism and prestige of events hosted at the Official Residence in Lima and other venues in Peru.- Established and maintained organized and efficient filing systems for both physical documents and digital records, facilitating quick and accurate retrieval of information when needed.- Implemented robust confidentiality measures to protect sensitive information, ensuring compliance with Embassy document security protocols and diplomatic confidentiality standards.

Contributed to the smooth functioning of the AUDG, Andean Unit for Democratic Governance (a unit covering five countries within the Andean Community: Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Bolivia).- Provided exceptional operational support to team members from five different countries by managing schedules, coordinating travel arrangements, and preparing materials for meetings and presentations.- Secured participation of Canadian democracy experts, highlighting adoption of "Prior Consultation" dialogue with Peruvian officials.- Demonstrated budget management skills by preparing spreadsheets and processing travel expense claims per Embassy policy.- Managed the first regional event at the Canadian Embassy in Quito, Ecuador. This was a remote event organized from Peru with guests from various countries, demonstrating strong organizational skills, enhancing regional cooperation, and strengthening diplomatic ties.- Managed the recruitment process for international consultants, drafting contracts and allocating per diems in accordance with embassy regulations to attract qualified consultants with expertise aligned with AUDG objectives.
