In the position of Print & Pattern Designer I’ve had the pleasure of designing and developing illustration and print & pattern for a wide range of product categories including kids and nursery bedding, bath, rug, window, wall art, backpacks, and nursery gifting. Some responsibilities of my position include:Design and develop inspiring and innovative illustration and print & pattern to support seasonal concepts, market trends, and customer/business needs. Own the development process for each design from sketch to approval.Gather market data on key fashion & interior trends considering such elements as color palette, mood boards, print and pattern, & trend reporting. Build seasonal print & pattern concepts based on market data and pitch creative concepts to executive leadership.Translate trends into concepts that respond to business needs and create proprietary hand illustrated art based on those seasonal objectives.Develop designs from conception through revisions, prototypes, specs, and sample approval.Collaborate with team members to consistently deliver heavy workloads on time under tight deadlines.Onboard and maintain relationships with print & pattern vendors. Identify new artists and vendors with fresh collections, schedule viewings of seasonal collections with traveling vendors, review collections and identify art that fulfills seasonal needs, process and manage invoices for purchased art, organize visits to local print shows, organize purchased art and manage the art archive.

My main responsibilities included the development of creative assets such as photos, web layouts, web graphics and ads, email newsletters, printed materials, logos and packaging. I worked closely with Marketing and Business Development teams from concept to completion on a wide range of marketing campaigns, and gained experience managing a creative team to complete projects with tight deadlines.Designed templates for weekly email marketing initiatives as well as coded and tested each newsletter. Organized and maintained our product photo library. Product photography and image editing as needed. Worked with clients to design affiliate e-commerce websites which both worked with our previously developed functionality and creatively adhered to client's established branding. Coordinated web graphics with current promotions. Acted as liaison between DermStore/Glow and printers for any necessary print work.Responsible for ensuring DermStore branding was maintained.
