Robert Conklin, a retired valuation professional, is an investor, wine maker, philanthropist, globe trotter, and Longhorn sports fan. During his professional career, Mr. Conklin served clients in dozens of industries, including oil and gas (up-stream, mid-stream and down-stream); banking and insurance; manufacturing; business services; trucking and logistics; distribution; healthcare; retail; and professional sports franchises. Mr. Conklin was active in the ESOP Association and an expert in tax valuations. Mr. Conklin has testified several times on valuation related matters.Mr. Conklin's philanthropic pursuits include working on several giving back initiatives with BVA Group such as the North Texas Food Bank, Carry the Load, Rainbow Days and other community charities. Mr. Conklin has also endowed several initiatives at both the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas System. He is a Member of the Littlefield Society, the President’s Associates, and a Parlin’s Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Conklin is also a Fellow of the Ashbel Smith Circle and a Fellow of the 1881 Society for the University of Texas System. Mr. Conklin also serves on two Advisory Boards at the McCombs School of Business. Mr. Conklin is also a member of the Executive Committee for the University of Texas System's Chancellor's Council.In his retirement, Mr. Conklin is traveling the world; enjoying Ranger, Maverick and Stars games; watching his beloved Texas Longhorns; and making wine. Since 2011, Mr. Conklin has blended and bottled Conklin Cellars, a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon to be shared with family and friends.
