My journey from a curious two-year-old fascinated by buttons (a fascination that led to an unfortunate encounter with my parents' Betamax) to becoming the lead sound engineer for legends like Tiësto, has been a tapestry of technology and beats. Despite my dad's early aspirations of guiding me towards economics, it was clear that technology and music were my true callings.Immersed in dance music since my teenage years, I transformed this passion into a professional endeavor by the age of 20, diving deep into the world of sound engineering. My career took an exhilarating turn in 2007 when I was entrusted with the sound for Sensation's world tour, and soon after, Tiësto's own world tour, blending my technical skills with the pulsating world of dance music. As the Lead Sound Engineer at Tomorrowland and other high-profile festivals, I not only fine-tuned audio experiences for millions but also mastered the delicate art of balancing innovative sound design within legal sound limits – a unique challenge that's a bit like tightrope walking, except with sound waves. My transition from the dynamic world of audio engineering to the realms of digital forensics, and then to the cutting-edge field of AI and data science, has been a journey of constant learning and adaptation. Currently at TrueLime BV, my role involves harnessing AI to create impactful solutions, proving that my penchant for pressing buttons has evolved into crafting technological symphonies.Through it all, my career is a celebration of following one's passions. It stands as a testament to the power of the right 'button' – from dismantling Betamaxes to orchestrating sound at world-class events and innovating in AI. Here's to a journey where each button pushed opened a new door, thankfully with no Betamaxes at risk anymore.
