My transition from accounting to financial planning started here at Investors Group. I received incredible training that complemented my accounting education and experience perfectly. I implemented solutions for business owners, families and individuals through careful and detailed planning regarding their mortgage, taxes, estate, kids education, retirement, insurance, benefits, and investments.

I provided controllership services to companies in the construction industry. These services included but were not limited to managing a bookkeeping department, monthly meetings with clients accountants and lawyers, developing financial reports for year end, and full analysis of cash flow, budgets, and projections.

My responsibilities at this fantastic company were twofold. I managed the accounting department and assisted with the financial reporting while managing a commercial property in Angus, Ontario.

A great opportunity that allowed me to further develop my accounting and managerial skills. While there I was responsible for the marketing and advertising, maintenance crew, acounts payable/receivable, monthly, quarterly and year end statements. I managed the expansion of the facility from approximately 150 units to 325 and increased the occupancy rate from 60% to 100% with a waiting list.
