- Designed foundry equipment in the following areas: sand handling systems including belt conveyors, bucket elevators, rotary screens, aerators, rollover/draws, sand coolers, bins/hoppers, and all associated support steel, platforms, walkways and stairs. - Designed a drying room used for the investment casting process. This included general layout of steel and concrete block structure.- Designed and supervised the construction of foam molding machines. This included the design of the steel structure and all supported items. Sized steam, vacuum, compressed air, and drain valves used in the process; designed hydraulic systems, and pneumatic process controls; produced manuals that included installation, training, and maintenance procedures.- Implemented and utilized Pro/Engineer and Pro/Mechanica to complete projects that included a molding machine, mold and core rollover/draws, sand reclaimer, flasks, and a mold stand.

- Redesigned an operation whereby air operated chipping hammers were used to surface-harden and pattern the inside of pipe molds. Solutions had been sought for over five years to change patterns inside the molds and increase the speed of operation. The new design increased the speed of operation by 1500%. All other U.S. Pipe shops then adapted it to their operation.- Redesigned a pipe joint welding operation to increase the processing speed by 300%, meeting target production metrics.- Worked in the plant to supervise projects that included repair and installation of heat exchangers; updating welding procedures used throughout the plant; repair and upkeep of gas heaters; installation of heavy machinery and hydraulics; and redesign of an overhead crane. - Worked continually with maintenance to reduce costs and solve problems that occurred in normal plant operation.
