In a 5-week design class at Pensole Lewis College-Future Sole Powered by Nike, I honed my skills in executing CMF for an apparel and footwear collection. I was taught industry insights into how color is justified in multiple creative fields, global color palettes, global trend research, consumer mapping, how to compose mood boards, and develop storytelling skills. We learned the fundamentals of materials and how to apply materials to product design. Working in a team setting, I developed time management, professionalism, and leadership skills while experiencing the dynamics of a brand-like environment in Detroit, Michigan.

In my role as a Serena Williams Design Crew Footwear Apprentice at Nike, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with industry experts and design the SP/FA 2025 footwear collection for Serena Williams Design Crew. I conducted design briefs, met with overseas manufacturers to ensure top-notch quality, and presented our designs to Serena Williams for her 2025 spring & fall collection.
