In 2007, after four years running a design and illustration studio that I created with friends – Estúdio MOL – Editora MOL was born, a business whose idea was to transform the world through communication. Our debut could not have been more innovative for the time: selling magazines in pharmacies at affordable prices and with all profits donated to GRAACC (Support Group for Adolescents and Children with Cancer).The idea was so successful that we not only built a hospital with the funds raised in 2013, but we also scaled the model to retail chains throughout Brazil. That publishing company became MOL Impacto, a business that is part of Grupo MOL, an ecosystem that works with the mission of building a nation of donors, believing that philanthropy should be part of the strategies of companies and the routine of all Brazilians. More than R$75 million has already been donated to hundreds of social organizations.I am the co-founder of the MOL Institute, a non-profit organization that is part of the MOL Group and whose mission is to use the power of communication to strengthen the culture of giving in Brazil, focusing on three main areas: telling stories that inspire, influencing those who influence, and occupying and engaging the territories where the population has fun, interacts, and communicates.In 2018, when I received the Social Entrepreneur award from Folha de São Paulo, which led me to be recognized as Social Entrepreneur of the Year by the Schwab Foundation of the World Economic Forum in 2019, I began an important journey to further my mission of expanding the culture of philanthropy: I joined the boards of organizations in the field and created my own organization, IACP, which bears my father's name and has the mission of institutionally strengthening the Brazilian third sector. Today, I have the honor and pleasure of working on different initiatives in the Brazilian philanthropy ecosystem with companies, families and third sector organizations, deeply committed to the mission of promoting, studying and qualifying the way we practice philanthropy in Brazil.I am the father of two boys, Antonio and Francisco, who make me see the meaning of my work every day. I am a die-hard Palmeiras fan, a semi-professional soccer player since I was 7 years old and a surfer in my spare time. I learn every day from these sports that have always served as great schools of life for me :)
