Expert On Enforcement Of Environmental Legislation (Air Quality, Fugitive Emissions)

Stationed in the chief inspectorate of the Flemish Environmental Inspection Division, my job as coordinator of environmental enforcement policy concerning fugitive emissions to air involved:- Presiding the working party: 'Environmental enforcement: Air - Fugitive emissions'. This working group consisting of experts provides a forum to harmonize environmental enforcement within the Flemish region, to attend to technical issues and to exchange information with/proposals to legislative institutes.- Collecting data based on field experience- Proposing and drawing up enforcement campaigns relating to fugitive emissions to air (e.g. projects related to particulates, PCB's & dioxins, heavy metals, ...) - Co-directing studies in order to determine local impact of fugitive emissions and source determination- Providing input in order draw up new legislation (e.g. new Flemish environmental legislation in order to prevent the spread of pollutants via diffuse emissions)- Reporting to numerous parties: the European Commission, Public reports, ...- Collaboration with other partners and agencies such as: the Flemish Environment Agency, the Flemish Institute for Technological Research, The Environment, Nature and Energy Department, ...
