Roger Ellis has planned and managed theatre festivals for the past two decades, and has produced & directed theatrical performances in the U.S.A. and Europe. He has also served as a planner for global arts festivals with the International Amateur Theatre Association: sourcing events & workshops, presenting awards and introductory speeches, and developing communications. Roger has edited and authored sixteen books on the contemporary theatre, and presented workshops and symposia in the United States and internationally. A graduate of Cal Berkeley’s doctoral program, he is the founding director of the Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival, a Professor and curriculum planner of Theatre at Grand Valley State University; and a producer/director for independent stages in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
