• Configure, Install, Service and maintain all last mile and customer premise equipment necessary for the delivery of Commercial Metro Ethernet, Metro Transport, PRI and POTS lines.
• Test and validate all new circuits, hardware and connections for proper configuration and performance.
• Ensure all fibers, cables and other connections are properly tagged and identified and that these connections have the proper physical support such as fiber duct, and spiral wrap.
• Assist with the installation, service and maintenance of core switches, routers, SONET, CWDM, DWDM equipment such as:o Cisco 15454 M6o Juniper MX960 & 480o Telabs 8830,8840,427,327 and 310o Cisco EX4200
• Perform scheduled maintenance on all metro last mile and customer premise equipment such as software upgrades and equipment upgrades and assist with such maintenance on the core network equipment as needed.
• Install fiber jumper cross connects for new and existing customers in hubs.
