Roger commenced his career as a quantity surveyor working in private practice. Having qualified as a chartered quantity surveyor, he had a career change and qualified as a barrister. In 1973 he set up James R Knowles specialising in construction dispute resolution. Initially he operated as a one man band, the company however grew rapidly and opened offices throughout the UK and also worldwide. The company became listed on the AIM market in 1998. Roger sold his interest in the company in 2006 and returned to being an independent consultant offering services in relation to dispute resolution. Roger is also an accomplished lecturer having lectured at over 1,300 seminars on a worldwide basis. He currently offers the following services
