KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Management of all creative/design/production/distribution functions as a shared-service across all groups of the Council.Develop/manage relationships with external design/print/distribution agencies to ensure brand, work flows, quality, timelines and budgets are achieved.Design, develop and manage web/print/sign brand manuals and ensure all council’s communication collateral conforms to organisational branding guidelines and corporate standards.Key member of Digital Channel Content & Design working group to oversee Council’s web upgrade, in the transfer of Council’s existing website onto new ‘Common Web Platform’ and applying new design, accessibility standards, benchmarking, content improvement and additional functionality.KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:Established in-house ‘agency style’ model within council that contributed to more efficient, cost effective, intelligible marketing, communications and design strategies. Cost savings of over 1.5 million dollars were achieved each year.Investigated, procured, executed and maintained complete job traffic and production management software system that maximised workflow, productivity, profitability and resources.Researched, purchased, implemented a digital and offset print purchasing solution that enabled Council to organise, track, collect and analyse prices, order and run reports on all print procurement. 33% savings on all print purchasing were achieved.Managed the ‘Request For Information’ process/purchasing/implementation/maintenance of a ‘Digital Asset Management’ solution.Established Council in-house ‘digital copy centre’ facility and the procurement of ‘Multifunction Devices’ throughout Council facilities operating a ‘FollowMe’ print solution. Savings made on digital print and photocopying services were over 2 million dollars.Managed one of the most consistently highly engaged teams within the Council by creating a safe, transparent, collaborative, career focused and fun environment.
