Developing, managing and executing strategic communication plans on behalf of senior management and medical leaders in the Laboratory Medicine Program and Joint Department of Medical Imaging at UHN. I externally promote the brand of each program and generate user engagement with over 1000 staff members, as well as many external stakeholders and partners in the health science field.HIGHLIGHTS:• Coordinated and developed Strategic Plan rollout and engagement projects• Facilitated media requests for national and regional print/broadcast news• Partnered with top allied health society for three-part video series accumulating over 100,000 YouTube views• Developed social media marketing campaign for Cancer Care Ontario lung cancer screening program• Increased newsletter readership through redesign and unique content development• Raised record level sponsorship and registration sales for program conference and education events• Published many organization successes and milestones through internal and external communication channels• Advised management teams on organization led initiatives and sensitive issues management• Developed academic abstract and presented at regional medical imaging conference and GTA healthcare communicators conference

As a member of the John Tory 2014 communications team, I created practical and effective e-flyers distributed through official mailing lists and social media channels. A key area of my responsibilities related to media monitoring, and finding relevant media clips and articles to be summarized for data collection and ongoing media updates. I also managed a secondary Twitter account used to relay, respond, and increase visibility of key campaign messaging.

Assisted in the servicing of commercial machinery, including: induction welders, steel tubing conveyors, pneumatic systems, and other industrial equipment. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work with residential electricians and home builders, assisting with: electric rough in and finish, central vacuum install, tin and duct finish, basic plumbing, as well as framing and dry wall construction. My time in trades revealed the importance of adapting to new environments and developing a systematic approach to every challenge.
