I was responsible for the conveyancing department's Stamp Tax completions as well as dealing with insurance policies for Chancel repair.During my time with Blacks Solicitors, I moved from being a temporary member of staff, employed to assist in the general administration of the conveyancing department to being in charge of all SDLT and Chancel policy work required. I trained other members of staff and offer assistance to those who need it. I greatly increased efficiency within the department meaning that few staff are required to perform the role, freeing up valuable team members to work in other roles as well as speeding up the time it takes for tasks to be completed.I was constantly in communication with the case handlers, the accounts team and the HMRC to make sure that all the information is correct and imputing all data accurately, efficiently and quickly.Every matter that I dealt with had a short deadline so my turnaround time had to be fast - I pride myself - and have been praised - on my ability to work quickly and without errors.My attention to detail is essential in this role as all information has to be correct or penalties may be incurred by the HMRC - since moving into the role, the number of errors occurred in a 6 month period is less than 0.3% - a figure I amvery proud of.

During the summer months of both 2012 and 2013 as well as the Christmas break of 2011-12 and 2012-13 I worked in the main warehouse of Charles Birch.I was initially brought in to photograph all the stock available for the building of the new website, interacting with all members of the staff from the MD to accounts, sales and warehouse staff. My job role evolved to that of a key member of the warehouse staff as I became more accustomed with the running of the business. My duties were to take deliveries which involved checking that all the goods were there, referencing the stock before unloading and storing in the correct area of the warehouse. I was also tasked with picking orders - due to the nature of the business and the huge variety of stock kept in the warehouse, I had to be very diligent in selecting the correct goods. During my time at Charles birch I developed my ability to think on my feet - often dealing with several orders at once meaning that I had to be able to memorize several lists of information and locate them as fast as possible. As a member of a diverse team, my communication and delegation skills were necessary to make sure that all orders came in and were dispatched quickly and efficiently without any errors.
