I am currently consulting to Douglas Pharmaceuticals on their new Laboratory Management System implementation of StarLIMS as a Technical BA and Tester. * Documenting laboratory equipment and interfaces to StarLIMS* Checking and fixing critical testing calculation scripts using StarLIMS SSL script language* Writing test scripts* Automating test scripts on TOSCA from Tricentis* Setting up StarLims security roles

Technical support of eight iSeries servers running on IBM Power technology, covering every aspect except the applications themselves. Job responsibilities include: ● Work with Senior Managers to create IT systems strategy complementary to theCompany’s commercial strategies.● Translate the IT strategy into systems architecture.● Ensure conformance to the architecture by the IT Group at all times.● Monitor and exploit new techniques/ methods and adapt technical architectures asappropriate.● Resolve reported problems. This may require significant liaison with software andhardware companies.● Document incidents and outages.● Ensure system integrity by analysing system messages and initiating follow-up action.● Ensure systems are tuned for optimum performance.● Ensure appropriate and regular patching of operating system and applications.● Gain and maintain a good understanding of all production applications.● Regularly review system processes and recommend improvements.● Enhance operations through automation.● Manage installation of application software.● Manage installation of operating system software and updates via PTFs.● Provide after-hours support as required.● Investigate and resolve network related issues.● Configure and tune WebSphere Application server.● Configure and tune HTTP server.● Configure Power System hardware.
