I spent 10 years working in the Lutheran Church, then about 10 years working in the insurance industry, mostly with Prudential, before I began with a little company based in northern Minnesota, CityPapers. We were soon purchased by PowerAds, which merged with AdOne to become PowerOne Media. In May of 2002 I began with TownNews.com. In February of 2006 TownNews.com purchased Zwire, AdQuest, and ypEngine as PowerOne was concluding business. Throughout my career, building good business relationships has been the key to my success. With fifteen years with TownNews.com, I am very thankful for great colleagues in the news business... Every time I attend a press association conference/convention I am reminded of the heroic work accomplished by very local news organizations. Sunshine awards. FOI awards. Lifetime achievement awards given to pressmen, journalists, ad sales professionals, and publishers always strike me as a very good thing.
