During this time Roger also designed a prototype using their product Synthesys (Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solution) to automate the capturing of data from Trade Finance paper Documents and as well as automate the verification of information using various other public data base to give a risk profile of client and the specific Import or Export Document being processed.The risk profiling included inconsistencies between document and supporting documents as well as individuals (like Sanctioned Country Lists, Terrorist List, and Dangerous Goods, Persons and Organizations of Interest, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and more). Roger was able to apply his knowledge developing the full suite of Trade Finance software during 1998 to 2008 covering Import, Export, Placement, Borrowing, Deposit, Loan, and Forex with integrated Financial Accounting and got the system and all the 25+ reports approved by Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Roger did a full year parallel run with the old system to fine-tune, and improve user friendliness.
