About Ben Rogers

I am an urbanist, academic and cities expert. I am the author of several books on philosophy and history, many policy reports and write and broadcast regularly, mainly on issues facing London and other cities. I founded Centre for London, the capital's dedicated think tank, in 2011 and led its growth to a 25 strong team working to tackle London's critical challenges. Since 2021 I have been Professor of Practice at the University of London, where I lead on civic partnerships, and Distinguished Policy Fellow at LSE Cities, where I lead the European Cities Team. I am particularly interested in cities, citizenship, governance, public space and democracy.
