Over 35 years of experience working in Emerging Markets with leading financial institutions.This included 15 years with Deutsche Bank in Asia where he was Managing Director of Deutsche Bank (Asia-Pacific) Ltd in Hong Kong and Singapore.He held the position of Director, Financial Institutions at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development from 1996 to 2004. There he designed and set up EBRD's successful Trade Finance Program.He joined IFC in 2004 as a Senior Advisor to establish its Global Trade Finance Program and also designed and established IFC's Supply Chain Finance Program. The Trade Finance programs at EBRD and IFC have provided over $50 billion in guarantees and financing to over 250 banks in more than 90 developing countries and have received many industry awards.He has also served over 30 years as a board member with seven financial institutions and has been a non-executive Director of FIMBank in Malta since 2006.
