I have been intrigued with human behavior since I was in college. A main focus of my 3 plus decades in the eye care industry has concentrated on the "patient-consumer" experience. In every position I have worked in throughout my eye care experience, the key to a successful practice has been the Patient Experience and Managing Patient Expectations. Regardless of the end patient outcome, what is vital is the psychological dynamics of our aging patient population. Living an independent quality life as we age in today's world is vital for each of us and in the eye care space, we have a tremendous opportunity to contribute to that life objective.
