A dreamer at heart, I enlisted in the Colorado Air National Guard after high school and began a long journey of Satellite Communications Operations, Program and Product Management, and Executive Assistance. With 18 years of military experience, I have a wide skill set in satellite communications, telecommunications, troubleshooting, and a Top Secret Clearance. Additionally, I have many years of supporting base and government leadership through Executive Assistant duties, such as schedule management, travel arrangements and meeting hosting.I also have spent years assisting with Public Affairs with emcee duties - have over 100 ceremonies emceed, over 50 tours given to VIP's, 30 Classified Mission briefs, 3 CCAF Graduations hosted, and a COANG Military Ball. I have developed a passion for photography through these efforts, and have had several photos in Wing level newsletters and announcements. For 2 years I worked for the SBIRS/S2E2 follow-on Missile Warning project with SAIC and Sev1Tech, and it was there that I found a love of program and project management. All the while though my true passion was in gaming and organizing competitive events. By starting my own company, Aspirant eSports I began hosting competitive events throughout the Denver area for the game 'Hearthstone' before creating the "Aspirant Hearthstone Series" online. For several years we ran around the year, seasonal league style competitive events for players across the world. The breakthrough came when I was approached and asked to create the "Venus and Mercury League" or "VML" a competitive league for individuals of Marginalized Genders. As a advocate and ally for the LGBTQIA2S+ community, the VML was a passion project and highlight of my gaming and eSports career. Within two years of launch the VML provided year round competitions for aspiring players with multiple sponsorships, including one with Wizards of the Coast. My work with Aspirant developed and solidified my passion for this career, and when offered a the position of Senior Product Designer for Competitive Play at Wizards of the Coast, I instantly accepted. After moving to Seattle I fell in love with the city and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, due to internal positional changes, my role went from Senior Product Designer to Partnership Manager, and that proved to be a poor fit for both myself and Wizards. I was sadly laid off, and now resume my pursuit for a forever career doing what I love!
