The XR Lost Stories Project was a project designed to highlight the lost stories of black marinship workers in Marin. As a social media manager for the XR Lost Stories program, I edited daily reflection videos of the program with Adobe Premiere Pro and shared these videos through Instagram, Facebook and an email list to inform and motivate parents and participating students. Experimenting with video and graphic design software built my awareness for executing other people’s visions with accuracy and care. Additionally, I helped students professionally write and record songs that highlighted this Marin history. After the program finished, I strengthened the design and SEO reach of the XR Lost Stories website to share the results of the program to the public. This was an amazing experience because our team was able to use multimedia content to bring a fresh perspective to the world. This program went on to receive a Gold Anthem Award for Education, Art, and Culture, and a Bronze Anthem Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Additionally, it was featured on a KQED podcast and a Marin Independent Journal article.
