At Karn Bhumi FPC, part of SEWA, agribusiness led by women farmers drives everything we do, with a focus on scaling operations and ensuring financial & operational sustainability of the FPC. A key goal is to transition the FPC off SEWA’s financial support, making it self-reliant while constructing incentive structures tailored to the rural context. This not only fosters tangible growth for the FPC but also improves incomes for the women involved along with the farmers. Working closely with the Directors of the FPC, SEWA Bharat Enterprise Support Team, I support in decision-making, negotiate optimal rates, and set SOPs to keep us on track, oversee efficient cereal procurement from the open market while searching for new avenues for discovery and learning. It’s a challenge, but building something sustainable and impactful in the heart of rural India makes it all worth it—with just the right amount of hustle and heart.

Livelihood Improvement Strategist | Women in Livestock EmpowermentI am passionate about enhancing livelihoods, particularly for women in the livestock sector. Here are some of my key contributions:Strategic Design: Orchestrated a comprehensive strategy to uplift the livelihood conditions of women in livestock, addressing their unique challenges and opportunities.Project Expansion: Collaborated on an impactful project expansion, reaching over 80 new villages, and amplifying the positive effects of our initiative.Data-Driven Insights: Spearheaded the collection and organization of data into digital interactive dashboards covering 2 Blocks and 117 villages in Munger, Bihar. This was a part of Mission Sunehra Kal, a CSR initiative by ITC.Market Prioritization: Developed and executed a project plan focusing on marketing three rural products tailored for urban markets, creating sustainable economic avenues.Grant Achievement: Secured a grant of Rs. 80,000 from the SBI YFI Sahyog via the SBI Foundation. The funds were utilized for promoting Composted Goat Manure in both local and national urban markets.Gamification for Motivation: Applied gamification principles to boost intrinsic motivation among animal health workers, fostering a proactive approach to meeting monthly targets and objectives.Impact Assessment Expertise: As a vital part of the impact assessment team, authored over 20 case studies and reports showcased by the CSR department at ITC Munger, highlighting the positive outcomes of our initiatives.Team Leadership: Successfully recruited, trained, and managed local cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and fostering a collaborative working environment.
