Fall 2022: COMS 4444 - Programming and Problem Solving by Prof. Kenneth RossAs a TA I worked on two coding simulators for the students to use for the projects. When my simulator was being used, I would be responsible for running the class. Additionally, I monitored the class and maintained attendance/class participation. I would transcribe what the professor would say in the slack channel used for the class.Spring 2023: COMS 4111 - Introduction to Databases by Prof. Kenneth RossI was Head TA managing 14 other TAs under me. I was responsible for coming up and enforcing the answer keys and rubrics for the homeworks. I was primarily responsible for the division of work among the other TAs. I mentored a few student groups to help them work on their project. I held extra office hours each week to help students keep up with the course and I was also responsible for proctoring the exams of the course.Summer 2023: CSOR 4231 - Analysis of Algorithms I by Prof. Xi ChenAs a summer TA I was responsible for grading all the assignments and exams that were assigned to the students throughout the course. I held two hours each week for office hours where I could interact with the students to answer their questions regarding the course work and the lectures. I was also the main medium to pass student complaints to the professor and helped work on solving these problems fairly.Fall 2023: COMS 4111 - Introduction to Databases by Prof. Luis GravanoI was primarily responsible for answering questions for online students during class hours. I am mentoring a few student groups to help them work on their project. I hold additional office hours each week to help students keep up with the course and I was also responsible for proctoring the exams of the course.

Under the mentorship of Prof. John Kender, I engaged in research supported by an NSF grant, focusing on the project titled 'Tagging Videos based on differing Affinity Groups'. Building upon my previous experience with Deepfakes, I conducted a comprehensive statistical analysis to assess the impact of cultural differences on detection accuracy. Taking a proactive approach, I contributed to the enhancement of the detection system, achieving an impressive accuracy rate of over 94%. This improvement was realized through the implementation of a novel training strategy involving a dataset comprising 10,000 images with increased cultural diversity. To disseminate our findings, I authored and published a detailed 20-page interim research report, showcasing my substantial contributions to the project, and made it accessible through the project website and Columbia University's research directory.

With shared interest and passion in music, Sruthilaya functions as the official music club ofAnna University. The club has an ever-growing popularity among not only its members buteven the audience members comprising of students all across Anna University. Initially startedas a club consisting of a meager number of students from varied departments, has nowburgeoned into a band of over twenty five students and keep is growing further.The band consists of instrumentalists and vocalists who have fared well during the auditionsconducted at the start of every semester. These members exhibit exemplary musical talentthat sets them apart from the remnant population including students who have composedoriginal music and some who have brought several accolades to the club by participating incompletions being held in the state. It is also noteworthy to mention that the band hosts intracollege as well as intra college competitions sporadically to encourage other students incolleges to participate in the same thereby providing a platform for many students toshowcase their talents. A recent collaboration with a neighboring college allows the band andits members to participate in competitions that entail a larger audience. Thus, the club standsa paragon of advocating opportunities to students who have an inclination towards music andinstruments.Every year we host numerous events ranging from competitions, to auditions/open calls toeven at times open mics. Apart from hosting various events within our colleges, we activelyparticipate in events hosted by other colleges. Influenced by Indian, Western and Regionalstyles of music, the band performs multiple genres and has acquired high acclaim byparticipating and in winning in various music competitions.

Collaborating under the guidance of Professor Sukhendu Das, Head of the VP Lab at IIT-M, I focused on addressing the problem statement of 'Panorama Scene Analysis.' My contributions involved the development of efficient Python code to disassemble panorama images, feed them through a CNN model, and seamlessly reassemble the outputs. Notably, I achieved a 5% improvement in time efficiency across Semantic Segmentation, Object Detection, and Depth Estimation models, thereby optimizing the overall performance of the analysis. Additionally, I played a key role in the annotation process, contributing to the creation of a new panorama segmentation dataset by meticulously annotating over 50 images. This multifaceted involvement underscored my commitment to enhancing both the technical aspects and dataset quality within the realm of Panorama Scene Analysis.

Dedicated to the seamless transition of applications, I spearheaded the migration of three major and 15 minor applications from a monolithic platform to a micro-service domain. In a strategic move to enhance performance, I introduced optimizations across 80% of the applications by implementing Cursor Pagination, significantly improving loading speeds. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in the refinement of codebases, creating new DAO classes to complement application functionalities and diligently debugging over 200 lines of existing code to enhance overall readability and maintainability. My commitment to transparent communication was evident as I regularly presented updates on software development and testing progress in the weekly scrum meetings, ensuring the entire team remained informed and aligned with our objectives.

An internship in collaboration with Microsoft (Authorized Education Partner) working on models based on Artificial Intelligence.As the leader of a project team, I designed a highly effective model using OpenCV to detect pedestrians in both live and recorded CCTV footage, achieving an impressive accuracy rate of 95%. Employing advanced mathematical concepts, particularly 'non-max suppression,' I enhanced the precision of output readings by an additional 10%. My role as team leader involved not only conceptualizing and implementing the model but also guiding the collaborative efforts of the team. Together, we distributed the workload efficiently among the four team members, ensuring a balanced and productive workflow. The success of our project was recognized with the prestigious 'Best Intern Project for Artificial Intelligence June 2020' award, affirming the impact and innovation of our work in the field.
