The Department of Social Affairs covers education, health care, sports, culture and youth policy in the municipality of Škofja Loka.

The Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Youth is a public authority responsible for the field of youth and realisation of the public interest in the youth sector at the national level. It is an independent body within the Ministry for education and sport since 1991.The Office for Youth prepares regulations and measures for the youth sector, it promotes non-formal learning processes to increase competences of youth in their transition from childhood to adulthood, and it develops suitable mechanisms for supporting youth organisations and organisations for youth, which are of key importance for promoting active youth participation.

The QA Students' Expert Pool brings together 60 well-prepared and committed students from all over Europe, who aim to contribute to improve higher education provision in Europe throug Quality Assurance procedures. Members contribute to the work of ESU, act as multiplyers in their home countries, participate in international Quality Assurance reviews etc.

European Students' Union (ESU), formerly known as ESIB, is an umbrella organisation of 47 National Unions of Students (NUS) from 39 countries, representing more than 11 million students. The NUSes are open to all students in their respective country and are student-run, autonomous, representative and operate according to democratic principles. The aim of ESU is to represent and promote the educational, social, economic and cultural interests of students at the European level towards all relevant bodies and in particular the European Union, Bologna Follow Up Group, Council of Europe and UNESCO. ESU is a full member of the European Youth Forum.As an elected full time officer, I was the principal representative of the organisation in the public and I was responsible for the coordination of the team of 12 volunteers and 5 staff members as well as of overall strategic and day-to-day work of the organisation. I was the coordinator of ESU involvement in the Bologna Follow-Up Group and coordinator of policies in the area of public responsibility and financing of higher education, as well as mobility and internationalisation. As the president of ESU I attended several conferences, syposia, hearing etc. all around Europe and coordinated ESU cooperation with external stakeholders, European Unions institutions, Council of Europe etc.

As an elected full time officer, I was responsible for the adminstration and personnel management of the organisation as well as financial management (ESU yearly budget is more than 600.000 EUR), monitoring various projects, co-funded by the European Union (in the framework of the Erasmus and Jean Monnet programmes) and developing and applying for new projects. I was the main coordinators of a 3-year FINST - Financing the Students' Future research project, which was dealing with the financing of higher education, and I was the coordinator of ESU work on public responsibility and financing of higher education. As a vice-president of ESU, I have attended and presented students' opinon on several conferences around Europe.

As a member of the Executive Committee, I was responsible for coordinating ESU policy work on public responsibility and financing of higher educaiton as well as mobility and internationalisation. I was also the main coordinators of an EU co-funded FINST- Financing the Students' Future research project that was reseraching the effects of higher education financing systems on student participation.

The Magna Charta Observatory of Fundamental University Values and Rights is a non-profit organisation based in Bologna and it aims to gather information, express opinions and prepare documents relating to the respect for, and protection of, the fundamental university values and rights laid down in the Magna Charta Universitatum signed in Bologna in 1988 by 388 Rectors of worldwide main universities.The Council is responsible for pursuing the aims of the Magna Charta Observatory and is its public voice.

SSU is the umbrella organization of all students in Slovenia and represents the interests of more than 100.000 students of Slovenian universities, colleges, high schools and also vocational and higher education institutions abroad. SSU’s main concern is to enhance student conditions and possibilities for study, social issues, the development of extracurricular and curricular activities and to represent students’ interests in their own university and local. SSU cooperates actively in forming national policies and programs concerning high education, scholarships, student residence, student work, health care and the employment of young graduates.As the Secretary General of the organisation, I am in charge of all administrative and financial matters as well as staff management.

WeMove.EU is a citizens’ movement, campaigning for a better Europe; for a European Union committed to social and economic justice, environmental sustainability and citizen-led democracy.Within the Wemove.EU team, I am in charge of supporting the campaigners and campaigns with proper IT tools and day-to-day administrative issues.

The Pool of Trainers of the National Youth Council of Slovenia brings together 30 experienced youth trainers from Slovenia. It aims at developing and implementing non-formal educational activities for the national youth council, its members and external organisations, develop publications and other documents dealing with non-formal education and share good practices among the group.

The Alcohol Policy Youth Network is a network of youth organizations that work towards the prevention and reduction of alcohol-related harm. APYN develops and supports effective alcohol policy to assure healthy lifestyles and environments for young people.As a secretary general, I am responsible for coordination of work with stakeholders (member organisations, public institutions, youth organisations etc.); coordination of APYN work with media (R); coordination of the office and employees (3 staff members); applications, implementation and reporting of EU-funded projects in the work field of APYN; implementing field research activities of APYN in the field of youth and alcohol and financial management of the organisation.

The Council is an expert and consultative body to the government of the Republic of Slovenia on all issues, related to higher education.

The Council of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Yoith is a consultative body that proposes measures and monitors the consideration of youth interests in various public policies at the national level. The Council gives the Government and the responsible ministries incentives and suggestions for the regulation of youth matters and, in particular, promotes youth participation in these processes. The Council which comprises representatives of youth organisations and various ministries on an equal basis is chaired by the Minister of Education and Sport.

Student Association of Škofja Loka is an organisation, open to all students from the town of Škofja Loka and aims at providing various activities for the students, ranging from non-formal educationa activities to sports, culture etc.As the president of KŠŠ I was responsible for coordinating the work of more than 10 volunteers and cooperation with the local community, mayor etc.

The Council of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Student Affairs is a consultative body that proposes measures and monitors the consideration of student affairs in various public policies at the national level. The Council gives the Government and the responsible ministries incentives and suggestions for the regulation of all matters related to students. The Council which comprises representatives of student organisations and various ministries on an equal basis is chaired by the Minister of Education and Sport.
