Carv is a digital ski coach that uses pressure and motion sensors in you ski boot to provide real-time feedback through your headphones while you ski, and in-depth coaching through your phone.While at Bain, I worked across multi-billion-pound utilities, aviation, consumer products and healthcare companies on strategy, delivery, operations, operating model, and governance. I have also built and managed relationships for Bain with clients, and line-managed Bain staff.Before Bain I studied for a PhD in immune system recovery following bone marrow transplantation in children. With a background in Physics, I was a Mathematician in a Medic's world. I built mechanistic mathematical models, used nonlinear mixed effects modelling to fit these models to data, and applied machine learning techniques to assess what affected recovery and to develop a predictive model for recovery.Otherwise, I am a keen attender of theatre, opera and ballet. After many years spent rowing, I recently made the transition to triathlons. However, my real passions are for the Cresta Run and skiing, and I try to spend as much time as I can each year in the mountains.
