About Romano Geerling
I am a no nonsense team player, flexible, eager to learn. My motto is a deal is a deal. First I studied for car mechanic and decided to study automotive engineering because I did not see myself working as a car mechanic full time. My main field of interest is automotive engineering and programming. Combining these two in a daily job would be the best option for me. At the moment I am following a traineeship Industrial Automation. This traineeship covers a part of control systems and plc programming. In the future I also would like to learn programming in C and Python for example.

The MATLAB tool that has been created during the thesis project will compare the measurement data automatically. The measurement data can be imported into the tool and will give a preliminary report at the end which tells the engineer the differences in the measurement data of both software versions.Result: 7.5/10

The research topic was finding a correlation between pressure wave interference and the injection quantity of a common rail diesel injection system. Pressure waves occur in the injection system when the needle of the injector closes. The fuel flow will suddenly stop and causes a pressure wave in the injection system. This pressure wave will influence the next injection in the work cycle. It is important to know what the exact influence of the pressure waves are for the next injection in the work cycle, so it is possible to correct this influence and get the demanded injection quantity.Result: 9/10
