I'm Romans and I love leading engineering teams by emphasising culture, putting people above processes and reasoning over rules. An advocate of software craftsmanship and extreme programming.I've started as a C developer for embedded systems and still have a soft spot for the absolute ruthlessness and unambiguity of C. Moved on to work on Maemo and Meego apps for Nokia phones using Qt, and after that got axed, became one of the first iOS developers in Accenture in Riga. Worked through the ups and downs of an iOS developer and mobile team leader for 11 years in outsourcing, B2C and B2B product companies. I was there when the apps got featured and banned, companies were excited and desperate. Went through several acquisitions, restructurings and redesigns.
