We are RainFellows. A team of coaches, consultants and mentors having more than 20 years of experience with introducing Agile and Lean principles and methods in complex and highly evolving environments such as technological and telecommunication companies. We started our consulting team in Scandinavian company Tieto in 2006. We were members of Finish IT cluster focused on scaling Agile and Lean in various contexts including startups as well as international corporations. In 2013 we founded RainFellows, our own consulting company. In 2016 we co-founded/joined three other startups: Avogado and Newired. We apply the same principles to our own companies. We are eating our own dog food.We are members of top expert group Red Button. We have co-founded sharing platforms for IT geeks (TechMeetup Ostrava) and entrepreneurs (BusinessCon).

We believe that children are the future. The current state education and sports clubs are producing 'learning machines,' but they should help to grow into self-confident beings who are aware of their unique value, can develop further their talents, contribute to society with them, and are able to collaborate effectively within a team.This is our CSR project through which we organize e.g. training programs for school directors, or summer camps for teachers and students.

Clients pay small yearly subscription.Another example of a service designed by needs of its clients. People and technology blended together.

As RainFellows we decided to go out on a limb by becoming members of the board and co-owners. We selected 3 strategic projects where we take risk and show our full potential. IQ Kuchyně, http://iqkuchyne.cz/ (In Czech only) is one of them. Why we selected IQ Kuchyně? It will revolutionize the industry same way Uber or Spotify did.We were impressed about the idea: as a customer I want my new kitchen / household to fit perfectly my needs instead of me squeezing into a prefabricated standard pieces. And yet to get the best price on the market and get it in 5 minutes instead of weeks as if I buy new car and I can click my own configuration. I want perfect craftsmanship work done (which is usually not the case on the market) and I want me and my wife to be happy from beginning till the end because there is someone carrying. We as RainFellows we want to support projects that make perfect service to their customers based on technological possibilities of 21st century. People and technology.

After two years in Tieto my attention shifted more and more to focus on an efficient organization and overall working environment that would support better Software craftsmanship. My original intention was to make better life for a programmer and after figuring it out I would get back to the programmer and architect role. However, I felt totally in love with coaching so I became full time Agile & Lean Coach and Leader of coaches in 2006. It has been one of the most exciting journeys of my life so far. In the beginning of my Tieto journey in 2004 I was still the technology enthusiast so I picked a role of Java developer, Architect, and Team leader. I worked on various innovative R&D projects in Telecom domain. It was complex and innovative (new technology and services) products 3000+ classes delivered by 50+ people distributed across the geography.

Already during my studies at University I was involved in a R&D project. The goal was to develop innovative features for Workflow Management System. After the University project I continued my passion at Disnet company still keeping the focus on WMS. Later, I was Java developer and Team leader for R&D projects implementing UML, MOF and Eclipse based tools. We developed successfully few innovative products which - as we realized later on - were lot ahead of the time.
