Thousands of businesses are winning more customers, providing industry leading support, and rapidly innovating new products and services by building messaging on Smooch.As CMO and CPO of Smooch, I joined this venture-backed SaaS business to build out the go-to-market function; aligning product strategy and development with a shift in the commercial model and building a marketing and growth team. From awareness and evaluation to adoption and growth, my focus at Smooch was to bring a holistic view to what we were creating (the product) and why were creating it (the need). My role was to closely link the product to the stories we told to explain its value and the go-to-market activity with the overall customer experience. I had direct management responsibility for and worked closely with my product, design, product marketing and growth teams based in Montreal, Canada. Smooch acquired leading software makers as customers including brands such as Oracle, Zendesk, Zingle, Sparkcentral, Ameyo, ComputerTalk and Lithium.
