My management responsibly includes directing manpower for various Configuration Projects for GE with the Belcan Design team of 33 people (currently), made up of Designers and Detailers with various skill levels. I also am a leader and instructor of training classes for our Belcan team, to ensure our designers understand numerous customer requirements and our own Belcan requirements (ISO9001:2000) to ensure that our combined goals are met. As manager I monitor and manage billing within my team, when funds near depletion, I communicate with my customer and identify our funding updates. I follow through and obtain approval and funds applied to the projects to prevent overruns. I also monitor the efficiency report to ensure that the overhead for my group is meeting our company established goal. Other duties include writing my group’s individual performance appraisals each year and setting their salary increases and training plans for each of my employees. Interviewing and hiring prospective designers and detailers for positions within my group, and making salary offers to those prospective new employees are also included.
