Had a leading role in a multitude of projects, including:● Deep Smart Mapping: Incorporated a combination of classic ideas, such as dynamic programming, and novel ideas, such as time-series recurrent reinforcement learning, resulted in a holistic solution that increased the Solid-State-Drive (SSD) throughput.● Machine Learning Polar Decoder: Included a combination of classic ideas from digital communication and Error Correction Codes (ECC) theory, and innovative ideas (e.g., Graph Neural Networks (GNN)), into a comprehensive scheme that reduced decoding latency.● SSD Simulation for Performance Analysis: An event-driven simulation that comprised of defining system requirements and specifications, software design with detailed class diagrams, implementation of system level complex behaviors, and debugging a wide range of workloads.

Had a substantial part as an initiator, leader, or core participant in various projects, including the development of:● Joint Source Channel Coding: Incorporated context-aware overhead to increase data rate.● All-Flash-Array (AFA) Compression: High throughput parallel compression.● Next Generation Non-Volatile Memory: Research study applied on a ReRAM device.● Low Cost and Low Latency Compression: Involved a full research-to-production cycle, including data analysis, modeling, consideration of compression ratio vs. complexity tradeoff, drafting HLD documents, and integration into a power-efficient, low cost hardware IP.
