I taught Humanities, English Composition, Creative Writing, and American Literature. I previously taught college-level English, literature, creative writing, and developmental English since 1990; I've been teaching humanities courses since 2007. Since 1997, I have been a full time professor at San Diego Mesa College. Working within the district course outlines, I create my own courses. I teach within the Honors Program, and have previously coordinated the Honors Program at both the college and district level.As of June 30, 2024, I am happily retired.

During the summers of 1978-83, I worked as a counselor, then song leader, then asst. program director, taking off the next two summers. I returned in 1986-88, working as the camp administrator. Many of the skills I learned at CCP have served me well in my subsequent working life in sales and education.

Worked as asst. account representative/trainee to The Broadway and Robinson's department stores; handled my own small accounts in the LA-area before moving to San Diego, where I continued in-store marketing efforts for major department stores as an asst. rep. and working my own small and medium accounts in all of San Diego, Imperial, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties.
