I wrote a monthly newsletter about my activities at the truck stop, niece compiled and put on a blog.

Disabled on Job in 1993. During my time off work I concentrated on serving in various volunteer positions depending upon where God led me to be at the time. I was limited by the disability, but was able to perform duties which allowed me to have time to rest, yet give back to the community for the assistance given to me. Most work was that of a project coordinator person or trainer, but God has slowly worked me into more of a Pastoral person. I have served as a county communications coordinator, facilitator for a depression group 14 yrs, community kitchen helper, conductor of church services at the local county jail, Assoc. Pastor at a small church, developed plans and procedures for projects, etc. I do not like to just sit around and put on the pounds. Rather be doing things to work them off. In addition, I have a background from developing projects and plans to mediating disputes, even between competing local government agencies.

Started out as a broadcast engineer, became a DJ, News, etc. except sales, worked later in two way radio, avionics, and satellite uplink/downlink ;still hold General Commercial Phone License and Extra Class Amateur Radio License. Non-tech work included project coordination setting up 911 systems, developing training programs and instructing communications programs, and writing manuals for data and communications procedures. Volunteer work included setting up emergency alternate communication backup systems with volunteer staff and supervising them, developing training materials and instructor courses, and serving as a county communications coordinator -coordinating paid and volunteer groups - among others. Volunteer work has continued and in recent years shifted away from public safety/service work more towards Christian volunteer work in addition to Chaplain and pastoral/preaching/teaching.
