Amcoen is an international engineering company with projects in Tempe, Arizona USA, Indonesia, Australia, and Papua New Guinea.

Amcoen is a US company focused on process efficiency and project improvement implementation through cost efficient staffing, application development, and consulting. My role as Managing Director is to develop the company’s core IT infrastructure, financial systems, and manage company and client IT projects. As a company director I am also involved with the development of company policies, internal business processes, contracts, and fiscal management.

• The Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) regulates Banks, Credit Unions, Consumer Loan and Mortgage Companies, Securities Investments, Investment Advisors, and Broker/Dealers. DFI partners and works closely with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), National Credit Union Association (NCUA), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB). • CIO direct all activities related to Information Technology including: strategic planning, security planning, disaster recovery planning, IT portfolio management, contracts, budget, development of Internet/Intranet applications, systems development projects, local and wide area network, PC and help desk support, voice and data communications, and project management. Some of the projects include: consolidating all databases into a common database structure, providing professional licensing and renewal via the Internet, document management and imaging, and implementing an automated personnel leave system. • In 2010, served as Lead for the Statewide PC Support shared services design team and participated on the design team for the Email Shared Services workgroup.• Served as Chair of the Information Processing Management Association (IPMA) Board of Directors which has approximately 1500 members and participate on several committees including: Consolidated Technology Services Agency (CTS) Advisory Council, State Data Center Steering Committee, Statewide Email Steering Committee, and chair the DFI Information Services Steering Committee.

Development of the agency’s e-commerce strategic and tactical plans. Responsible for managing the agency’s e-commerce initiative. Management of the IS Divisions $3 million annual budget. Direct the Agency’s core applications development team which is responsible for the development of web based applications, design and maintenance of the Agency’s Internet and Intranet web pages, training others in the use of web development tools, and data modeling.

• Directed the Information Network for Public Health Officials (INPHO) project. There were over 120 technical staff involved with this project. The project implemented a statewide TCP/IP network connecting 39 counties to each other and the state. It also included building new or upgrading the Local Area Networks in 34 Local Health Jurisdictions. These networks included both Microsoft NT with Back Office software and Novell. The network has become known as the State’s Inter-Governmental Network and currently supports the Washington State Patrol, Office of Administrator of the Courts and many other state, county , and city agencies, Indian Tribes, municipalities, and approximately 40,000 users. The network is showing a savings of about $1.5 million a year and has won several awards including 2 National awards.

Managed Technical Services Unit which was responsible for all the Agency’s hardware/software support, telephones systems, and local and wide area networks for 1200 employees. I also managed the design, development, and complete implementation of the Agency’s wide and local area networks. This included development of the budget, tactical plans, and monitoring of both. This project created an agency wide area network that included 23 local area networks with 1200 PCs all connected to form a single wide area network.

Reported directly to the Assistant Director of Business and Professional Licensing. Directed for all information technology activities for the division which included management of the development of several application systems and the installation of several local area networks. Coordinated the Information Resource Management (IRM) project for the development of the divisions business and functional data models.

Responsible for management of the agency’s hardware /software support and the state wide area networks. Also Served as the Technical Project Lead on the County Auditor Automation Project (CAAP).

Working in technical service unit as assistant Data Base Administrator and writing special application programs. Designed, programmed and implemented an electronic mail system that was used statewide by all Drivers Licensing offices and County Auditors.

Programming and technical support during conversion from an IBM computer environment to a UNIVAC mainframe.

Responsible for 1100 Operating System support on large Sperry Univac mainframes. This included debugging and writing code for the Operating System using Assembler Language.

Operated several large mainframe computers and programmed systems to support the operations staff.
