PPCS) Plant Process Computer System Project, Monticello Nuclear Responsible for all engineering design activities, technical consulting, software validation, installation support, and testing for the new Plant Process Computer System (PPCS) and Data Acquisition System (DAS) upgrades and to interface with software and hardware vendors to ensure proper delivery and installationProvided technical consulting on the scope, design, and implementation of the PPCS and DAS upgrades.Provided support for the installation of software and hardware during refueling outage and startup.Determined, documented, and performed software validation testing to ensure upgraded software performs all required functions of the existing softwareNFPA 805 Design Project, (Xcel Energy Prairie Island Nuclear Plant) I served as the focal point for the Design Engineering Department and the technical interface between Project Management, Site stakeholders, External Design Organizations, and Equipment Suppliers during the performance of Prairie Island plant modifications. My 805 work was made up of the following projects within it (Incipient Detection project, Aux Feedwater Train Cable Replacement, Loss of OC trip 4kV Breaker cable replacement, and Control power protection and fusing project)Performed traditional Electrical Engineering activities such as calculations, design drawings, and specifications pertaining to the design, procurement, installation, testing and turnover of electrical equipment, including 4kv switchgear, 480V motor control centers and motor operated valves.Provided overall technical direction and guidance for the most efficient and cost-effective options.Resolved technical issues during the Design, Construction & Installation PhasePerformed suitability reviews, partial and final turnovers associated with each modificationScheduled, coordinated and lead project modification technical reviews of Engineering Changes with Site stakeholders
