I headed People's Management School, one of the six major programmes of Seva Mandir having the mandate of research, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, hosting volunteers and organisational publications. I was involved in facilitating the organisation to internatlise outcome-based monitoring and evaluation framework, and coordinated two major research studies undertaken in collaboration with international universities. The programme is currently coordinating two large research assignments with international and national universities. Capacity building of staff has also become more regular and convergent with present context. Along with that, I provided leadership to a new programme on clean drinking water (CDW) and sanitation for remote rural communities. The programme has enhanced access of 25,000 people to CDW through decentralised facilities appropriate for hilly and drought-prone regions. I succeeded in introducing the ecological sanitation as alternative in the organisation and among communities. Over 450 eco-san toilets are constructed till now. In addition, I developed a pro-poor Energy Efficient Cookstoves Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) initiative designed to affect about 18,500 rural families. Seva Mandir has incubated a separate social enterprise for this and similar interventions.

Conducted due-diligence of NGOs and projects to identify innovative and effective development initiatives for extending financial support. I assisted the partners to initiate projects worth of Rs.4 crore to reach out to more than 30,000 Tsunami affected people. In addition, I coordinated evaluation assignments of two government programmes in Gujarat and reviewed social interventions of corporate. One assignment involved evaluation of 59 NGOs reaching to 6,000 women under a livelihoods restoration programme in post-Gujarat earthquake.
